Annual Old Fashioned Christmas 2007
First Sunday in December 3, 2007

  • Breakfast at the Potter Sundry

  • Community Church Service at American Legion Hall
    with Pastor Ted Bourret, St. Paul's Lutheran Church
9:00 - 5:00 p.m. 
 closed for church service, closed for legion program then open until 5 pm unless noted.
  • Crafts and Home Based Businesses Holiday Show at The Potter
    State Bank and Senior Citizens Center (Space may be tight, first come first serve. 
    Registration forms available at the Sundry, Bank, and A Collective Gathering.

  • A Collective Gathering will be open - register for gift certificate
  • Chestnut Street Memory Station will be open
  • Gingerbread House Contest by the Potter-Dix Art Classes - displayed at A Collective Gathering.  Winners will receive Potter Dollars.
  • Potter Depot Museum12:00 - 3:00 p.m. Potter Depot Museum - Bake Sale
  • Potter Family Grocery will be open 9:00 - 3:00 p.m.

11:30 - 2:00 p.m.

  • Decoration of Avenue of Trees in Reading Garden any time before 2:00 p.m.---trees will be judged at 2:30 p.m.

  • Potato Bar/Salad Bar by Potter Federated Church Youth Group serving in dining area of Bags' Bar, Adults -$5.00 Children - $3.00
12:30 -2:30 p.m.
  • Santa Arrives Downtown Potter - visit with Santa for wishes at the Gazebo in the Reading Garden   - bring your own camera and take a picture with Santa   (Santa will move to Coyote Caller building if the weather is bad)
12:30 - 3:00 p.m.
  • Horse Drawn Wagon Rides - Downtown -by Sam Gingerich & Kids
1:00 - 2:30 p.m.
  • Duckpin Bowling - free bowling tournament for Potter Dollars Christmas Carnival -
    room adjacent to Bowling Alley (above Flea Market), open to preschoolers thru 3rd grade. No charge.

1:00 - 2:00 p.m.

  • Reindeer Game, pick up a game form at the Gazebo - 1:00.
3:00 - 4:00 p.m.  Legion Hall Activities
  • Register one time only for Potter Dollars as you enter the Legion Hall.
    MUST be present to win!
  • Sing- a- long
  • Music Groups performing - High School, Jr. High, Elementary  
    sponsored by the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority
  • Avenue of Trees winners announced

  • Soup Supper  by St. Paul's Lutheran Youth Fellowship, east dining area of Bars' Bar, featuring Homemade Chicken Noodle, Chili, & Vegetable Beef Soups ( Adults - $2.00, Children - $1.00) and Slice of Homemade Pie ($1.50)
